I Saw (See) the Lord

Isaiah 6,7; 2 Chronicles 26,27; Philemon

“In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord seated on a throne, high and exalted, and the train of his robe filled the temple.”

Isaiah 6:1

Isaiah’s vision of the throne room of God in heaven was similar to Daniel’s vision, and of the apostle John’s revelation. These servants of God, living in various places and separated by hundreds of years, all saw the same thing. The likeness of the glory of the Lord was their focus.

What are our eyes focused on?

We are invited to fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith. We, too, have been given a clear view of who God is through the life and person of Jesus.

Have we seen the Lord?

Or are we distracted by the attractions of this world?

We live in a screen-focused generation that is ruled by technology. Yet technology cannot bring peace, love, and forgiveness. Only the Lord can do that.

Will we turn our eyes to the Lord?

“Lord Jesus, my eyes are on you. Thank you that through your righteousness I am seated with you in heavenly places, for your glory.”
