What Brings Peace
Esther 9-10; Luke 19
“As he approached Jerusalem and saw the city, he wept over it and said, ‘If you, even you, had only known on this day what would bring you peace – but now it is hidden from your eyes…because you did not recognize the time of God’s coming to you.’”
Luke 19:41, 42, 44
God’s peace-plan is found in Jesus, who died to bring us peace. He loved the world enough to take all of its enmity, violence, and sin upon himself. There are times and seasons for God’s visitation and grace for cities and nations. Jesus wept over Jerusalem because they missed the time of God’s coming to them.
In our day, are we recognizing the time of God’s coming and what will bring us peace?
Peace with our neighbors begins with the peace of God in our lives through Christ.
Are we recognizing God’s grace and invitation to us this day?
“Lord Jesus, thank you for your love for me, my city, and nation. Open our eyes to see your coming, and hearts to respond, for your glory.”
