I Will Respond

Hosea 2-5; Hebrews 2

“In that day I will respond,’ declares the Lord – ‘I will respond to the skies, and they will respond to the earth; and the earth will respond to the grain, the new wine and oil, and they will respond to Jezreel. I will plant her for myself in the land; I will show my love to the one I called ‘Not my loved one’.’”

Hosea 2:21-23

When God chooses to respond to a person or a people group and plant the gospel in their lives, it is the greatest expression of his love for us. The opposite is also true in a people group where the gospel is not yet known or has not yet taken root; there is no greater judgment than separation from a relationship with our Creator. The work of grace in our lives which moves us to respond to God’s love is itself a miracle. It is a “Jezreel” moment when God plants his grace in our lives.

Who are the people or peoples in whom we see God planting his grace and gospel?

Who are the people or peoples for whom we are praying will become beloved of God?

“Lord Jesus, thank you for your grace and mercy to me. Pour out your Spirit on our neighbors that they would know your love and mercy, for your glory.”
