Bless Your Family

 1 Chronicles 16; Psalms. 106; Matthew 19

“David left Asaph and his associates before the ark…to minister there regularly…David left Zadok the priest and his fellow priests before the tabernacle…to present burnt offerings…regularly, morning and evening…David returned home to bless his family.”

1 Chronicles 16:37-40, 43

David delegated worship responsibilities and ministry to responsible leaders. Although he was a gifted worshiper and song writer, David released worship leading to others. He released some of his authority to others so that they could lead and God’s people would be blessed. David then went home and blessed his family where no one else could lead. If we bless the church and the world but fail to less our family, we have missed the first place of worship and ministry that each of us is called to. David recognized that he was a priest in his own home first. As we bless our family we help them prepare their lives to bless God and the world. Let us not neglect to bless our families!

“Lord Jesus, thank you that your blessing rests on our home and family. We give all that we are and all that we have to you, for your glory.”
